REHABILITATION CENTRE FOR CHILDREN
Develop yearly budget in conjunction with Director of Prosthetics and Orthotics and Director of Finance.
Determines the design and type of orthosis according to clinical patient assessment and the physician’s prescription.
Distribute the orthotic workload to technicians and residents within the department.
Attends appropriate clinics where they will assist in the formulation of an orthotic prescription in consultation with the physician and allied health team members.
Assure the proper fabrication of the orthosis by technical staff.
Maintains adequate patient records in accordance with established standards.
Provide clinical teaching and supervision to orthotic residents, interns and students as required.
Provide family-centered, culturally proficient care.
An Orthotic Resident may also be considered for the position.
The P&O Program has recently moved into a new, fully modern, multidisciplinary facility.
