Reporting to the Manager of Assistive Technology, and under the direction of Certified Prosthetist, the Registered Prosthetic Technician is an integral member of the clinical health team that provides prosthetic care to both inpatient and outpatients. Registered technicians provide technical expertise towards evaluation, treatment planning, individualized design, custom fabrication, implementation and maintenance of prostheses (artificial limbs) to enhance patient mobility and/or physical function. Registered technicians work collaboratively with the inter-professional health care team and others to provide optimal prosthetic care and to assist the patient in achieving their prosthetic goals.
