Prosthetic/Orthotic Technician
Align is seeking a mechanically inclined critical thinker for an entry role as a prosthetic/orthotic technician. Our clinic is a fast-paced environment with busy clinicians. We are seeking a person who wants to be a part of our patient’s treatment pathway.
Reporting to and under the direction of a certified clinical team, a prosthetic/orthotic technician will provide technical expertise towards evaluation, treatment planning, individualized design, custom fabrication, and maintenance of assistive devices, primarily prostheses and orthoses, to enhance patient mobility and/or physical function. The technician works collaboratively with the inter-professional health care team to provide optimal care and to assist the patient in achieving their mobility goals.

- The ability to communicate professionally with patients, families and the health care team members (written and verbal).
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and have organizational skills to complete assigned work and manage changing caseloads.
- High level of manual dexterity, strong problem-solving abilities, computer skills
- Digital workflow
- Computer literacy
- Skills in digital technology including but not limited to additive manufacturing (3d printing).
- Proficiency in medical terminology
