Registered Orthotic Technician / Orthotic Intern
Who We Are
Orthocan Orthopaedics Inc. is a well-established centre engaged in providing Custom made orthotic devices to community clients, acute care hospitals and rehab hospitals. We currently operate two locations. Orthocan is fully licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Health and offers orthotic services to clients of all ages. We recently relocated to a newly-renovated bright and spacious unit to accommodate our expanding Technical and Clinical operations.
Start Date: June 2024 (opportunity to move start date earlier as mutually agreeable)
The Role:
We are looking for an Orthotic Technician in our Mississauga, Ontario facility who can contribute to the designing, manufacturing, repairing, and maintenance of orthotic devices to ensure efficient workflow. This role is open to a Registered Orthotic Technician seeking a full-time placement, or a recent Tech graduate that is seeking an internship role. This is an on-site position. You will be working with Certified Orthotist and Experienced Registered Orthotic Technician.
Key Qualifications and Skills :
- Registered Orthotic Technician
- Intern- Orthotic Techician
- Hands on skills with hand-tools.
- Experience using the light duty machines as Grinder, Sewing etc in safe manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, Manufacturing, repairs and maintenance of Orthotic devices for the clients
- General Lab cleanliness and equipment maintenance
- Supervise other staff as required.
- Inventory management.
- Other tasks as required in improving the efficient workflow for positive outcome.
