Smith Prosthetic Services is looking to expand our team with a Certified Prosthetist who is interested in building a fulfilling career in the welcoming community of Ottawa.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments and fittings for clients of all ages and levels of amputations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in prosthetic technology and apply new technological techniques to achieve superior outcomes.
  • Ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Certified Prosthetist designation by Orthotics Prosthetics Canada or capable of achieving certification by Orthotics Prosthetics Canada
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care

Assets

  • Experience with the pediatric population
  • Experience with high activity prostheses
  • Experience with upper extremity and myoelectric prostheses
  • Strong technical skills
