The Ottawa Hospital Rehabilitation Centre Prosthetic and Orthotic Department is looking for a Certified Prosthetist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary team.
Working at the Ottawa Hospital
Located in the heart of Canada’s capital, The Ottawa Hospital is a multi-campus academic health sciences centre, employing over 12,000 health-care professionals, making us one of Canada’s largest teaching hospitals and largest employers in Ottawa.
Our Prosthetics and Orthotics Department specializes in providing care for complex presentations. We are a progressive team participating in research and beta testing of new technology.
We help our patients regain their independence by developing and optimizing solutions with our colleagues in Physiatry, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Rehabilitation Engineering, Rehab Virtual Reality Lab and Research Institute.
Living in Ottawa
Ottawa has been described as one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. As the fourth largest metropolitan area in Canada, with a population surpassing 1,000,000, Ottawa enjoys all the attributes of a major centre. Yet, it still maintains the atmosphere and charm of a smaller city. Ottawa is safe, clean and green, surrounded by three rivers and enclosed by a 42,240-acre greenbelt of protected farmland and wetlands.
The Rideau Canal, the world’s longest skating rink in the winter, meanders through the city. The Gatineau Hills, located only 10 minutes from the downtown core, offer spectacular views and outstanding recreational opportunities.
If you are passionate about Prosthetic care, motivated by improving the mobility and independence of individuals, excited by leading-edge medical technology, and as committed to excellence, quality and patient safety as we are, we’d like to hear from you.
